Active Parishioner Status

In order to be considered an Active Parishioner and therefore eligible for Enrollment in St. James PSR & PEP Programs, a family must meet the following criteria:
1. At least one parent must be Catholic in order for a family to register as parishioners of St. James of the Valley Church.
We must a have current parish registration form on file in the Parish Office. This enables you to receive offertory envelopes and parish mailings.
2. The family should attend most Sunday and Holy Day Masses at St. James. Your attendance can only be measured by your use of offering envelopes, so we ask that you use them. If you are unable to make a weekly contribution, the envelope, even empty, speaks for your presence and support.
3. Volunteering for parish and PSR/PEP activities in some capacity.
We ask all parents to share some time and talent in service to our parish. There are many activities and committees from which to choose.
4. Giving support to the parish financially to the best of your ability.
The PSR/PEP Program has been operating at a reasonable cost for many years. While expenses have increased, revenues have remained the same. Because of this we require a recordable amount of money be given with some regularity at least monthly in the Sunday collection.
The Finance Commission has decided to review PSR/PEP offertory contributions on a quarterly basis. If you are not in compliance with Criteria #4, you will receive an additional PSR/PEP fee.
